Boninastrea boninensis

Yabe and Sugiyama, 1935

Colonies are massive with short, highly contorted valleys. Septa have well developed teeth. There are no columellae.

Colour: Yellowish-green.

Habitat: Shallow reef backs.

Abundance: Extremely rare.

Similar species: Montigyra kenti , Platygyra contorta
