Porites nodifera

Klunzinger, 1879

Colonies are compact clusters of columns, which have a smooth surface. Individual columns tend to be isolated subcolonies. Tops of columns tend to be squared off. Small colonies usually consist of nodular subcolonies.

Colour: Pale brown.

Habitat: Shallow water. Tolerant of high salinities.

Abundance: Common and may form patch reefs.

Similar species: Porites myrmidonensis
