Colonies are solid rounded plates. Long sinuous valleys may radiate from the original point of growth and are sometimes deep. Valley walls may be so short that they form Hydnophora-like monticules. Septo-costae are thinner than intervening spaces. Columellae are rudimentary or absent. There is one row of mouths in the valleys.
Usually combinations of pink, green and grey, with valleys and walls of contrasting colours.
