Montipora orientalis

Nemenzo, 1967

Colonies are flat unifacial plates or, rarely, form columns. The coenosteum is fine, without any ornamentation. Corallites are small and widely spaced.

Colour: Usually pale brown.

Habitat: Shallow reef environments.

Abundance: Rare.

Similar species: Montipora calcarea , Montipora turgescens
